Meet the Ford Family:
Meet the Ford Family — JR, Vanessa, Ronnie and Ellie. Both of their children were born boys, but at age 3, Ellie told her parents “I’m a girl in my heart and my brain.” Here are JR and Vanessa in their own words: ————————————- “Our definition of gender has changed and evolved as we’ve learned more on this journey. Raising our children has shown us that gender identity, expression and roles can have many intersections and understanding them all can be complex. I want a world where my children can pursue what makes them happy and have access to what they need to achieve this. In our family, the conversation around gender (both for our transgender and our cisgender child) are very important. I hope that the future allows for all people to express themselves how they truly are, and live that way.”
