The heart-wrenching new doc Out of Iraq – which tells the story of two gay Iraqi soldiers who fall in love before being forced to flee when one becomes the target of an honor killing – was given a screening the UN today, an unbelievably cool honor, and one I’m sure everybody associated with the movie will never forget. On hand were the documentary subjects Nayyef Hrebid and Btoo Allami as well as producers and directors Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Mona Card, Chris McKim, Michael Failla, and David Steinberg.

(So fun to see the room you’ve seen in a million movies – Doctor Strangelove! The Day the Earth Stood Still! The 1966 Batman when the Catwoman, Joker, and Ridder took it over!).
