Dangerous Minds takes us back to the days of weirdly perky first-generation Goths in a series of three vintage videos. Who knew Goths had that much energy? In the first video, a group of VERY ’80s club boyz at the Xclusiv nightclub in Batley, West Yorkshire are dancing first to The Cult’s “Spiritwalker.” Then the floor literally clears out as the Cramps’ “Human Fly” plays for a few seconds before the camera shuts off, and then everyone returns to the floor to go buckwild over Killing Joke’s “Eighties.”
The second video – possibly from 1983 – features more girls (looking slightly more Hazel O’Conner than Siouxsie Sioux at this point) and dancing to the extended single mix of The Cure’s “Let’s Go To Bed” – which was released in 1982.
The last video takes us back to the Xclusive nightclub in Northern England for a full TWO HOURS of fun.
