Today is September 9th, and you know what THAT means. Yes, CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE! With only 106 days until Christmas you better gird your loins for the coming onslaught of holiday movies! First up: the ho-ho-horror/comedy Krampus – based on the ancient legend of a dark spirit who knows if you’ve been bad or good, SO BE GOOD FOR GOODNESS SAKE!
When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family’s home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive. Krampus (opening December 4) has a pretty kick-ass cast: Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner, Allison Tolman, Conchata Ferrell, Stefania Lavie Owen and Krista Stadler, which makes me think this is more than just your run-f-the-mill horror film. Check out the trailer below.
