Rowan County clerk and media villain, Kim Davis this morning AGAIN refused two same-sex couples marriage licenses, in defiance of a federal court and in the face of the Supreme Court’s refusal to intervene. The clerk’s office was a zoo this morning as supporters and reporters gathered to see Davis by refuse to issue marriage licenses again. Davis got to work about 48 minutes before her office was scheduled to open. At 8:00 AM EDT, Davis refused a same-sex couple, April Miller and Karen Roberts, a marriage license. David Moore and David Ermold are the couple who first filmed Davis refusing to issue them a marriage license last month, with the video going viral. Ermold told her today;
“We’re not leaving until we have a license.”
Davis answered with…
“Then you’re going to have a long day.”
She also told the couple she was refusing them a marriage license
“under God’s authority.”
Outside the courthouse you can hear chants of “End the Hate! End the Hate!” Well, to coin a phrase, Lord Help Us All, Woman! I get the feeling that she’s NOT going to issue a marriage license short of Jesus showing up and ordering her to. Even then, I’ll bet she’d say,
“Honey, let me talk to your Dad, OK?”
