LEIA IS MY MOM: Billie Lourd and real-life mother, Carrie Fisher in Star Wars; Episode 4
It looks like Star Wars: Episode 7 is going to be a little heavy on nepotism (and nostalgia) with the return of most all of the original trilogy’s stars to the franchise. A rumor has been circulating since summer that the new film will not only feature flashbacks but that the young version of the secret Skywalker sibling will be played by Carrie Fisher’s own daughter. Billie Lourd, the daughter of Fisher and agent Bryan Lourd (and Hollywood Royalty, as her grandmother and grandfather are Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher) has supposedly been cast as a young Princess Leia and will appear in flashback scenes. She hasn’t done much yet but she does bear enough of a resemblance to her Mom to make it work. Plus there’s GCI. Episode 7 is still set to open in theaters on December 18, 2015.
