At last… someone I can identify with! The (iconic) picture features high school student, Draven Rodriguez wearing a suit, cuddling with his handsome cat in front of an ’80s style laser background. He says he just wants his classmates to remember him as someone who loves cats and lasers, of course. CBS 6 in Albany reports that Schenectady High School gave Draven permission to put this perfect photo in the yearbook, but not as his senior portrait. If you ask me, I would totes be down for two pictures in my senior yearbook, but he’s determined to get THIS photo with his handsome kitty cat as his senior portrait. I applaud him for sticking to his guns! Currently 4,175 people have signed the petition, surpassing his original goal of 500.
Draven says in his petition:
“To clarify, the school HAS NOT YET DECLINED this photo, This is my pre-emptive strike just in case such a thing were to happen. I wanted as many backers as possible before the deadline of September 15th.”
Let’s make this guys kitty cat dream a reality! Head over to his petition and SIGN IT! ME-OW!
Watch the video below! PS. The cat’s name is Mister Bigglesworth. Yes gawd.
(t/y Tom Cat!)
